Storage Means

During response operations, the storage system for pollutant recovered at sea or onboard a damaged vessel must ensure that the waste is transported to a port.

Depending on the skimmer or pumping equipment, waste may be stored in the tanks of an oil spill response vessel, in floating tanks towed by an OSRV or a tug, in rigid tanks placed on the decks of an OSRV or in a storage barge or other vessel with storage capacities.
Storage in the tanks of  ORSVs
Argonaute 1100 to 1500 m3 according to the mission
Alcyon, Ailette, Carange 480 m3 per vessel
Towed floating tanks 100 m3 / 50 m3 / 16 m3 / 7 m3
Rigid tanks (on the deck of a vessel) 1 m3 / 10 m3 / 15 m3
